Constitution Day is a federally recognized day that is celebrated annually on September 17th. This day commemorates the September 17, 1787 signing of the United States Constitution. Center for Pan Asian Community Services, Inc. (CPACS) is one of many educational institutions that receives federal funding to promote and implement English Literacy and Civics education. However, CPACS will celebrate Constitution Day on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 starting at 10:00 AM.
The distinguished Mr. Ted Terry, Mayor of the city of Clarkston will be our keynote speaker. Mayor Terry serves as the State Campaign Director of the Georgia AFL-CIO.
During the event, students within the CPACS English Literacy/Civics program who have achieved citizenship will be recognized for passing the citizenship test.
There will also be a special performance by NANTA, which is CPACS’ very own “Awesome Drum Team”.
Special International foods will be served as well.
