This year, Georgia Tech China Care Club will be hosting its 2ndAnnual GT TASA & China Care Charity Dinner on April 13, 2013. This event is dedicated to raise funds for medically fragile orphaned children in China and acknowledge members who dedicate their time in raising awareness and appreciation of Chinese culture in local adopted Chinese children in the Atlanta community.
We are raising funds for Longchen, a newborn orphaned boy living in the China Care Home in Beijing. LongChen was born with Hirschsprung’s disease and anal atresia. LongChen desperately needs surgeries to correct his conditions. Georgia Tech China Care is seeking to raise funds to fully cover the cost of LongChen’s care before, during, and after surgery. Last year, we were able to successfully fund a baby’s $3,000 operation and this year we are well on our way to an even larger goal. The charity dinner will take place in the Georgia Tech Student Center Ballroom on April 13th, 2013, from 6:30-8:30PM. We aspire to fully support the medical needs that Longchen deserves, and with the support from organizations and individuals like yourself, we believe that this can be accomplished.
