Exploring hiking, water tubing and dine out in Helen, GA on June 9th, 2012
If Atlanta’s summer has intimidated you from adventuring outdoor, let us explore the North Georgia to experience the marvelous scene with the cool breeze. We plan to hike Anna Ruby Falls trail, float by water tubing on Chattahoochee River or stay in Water Park, visit Helen town and enjoy dinner at the riverside restaurant.
Meet near North Point Mall in Alpharetta at 9 am. Carpool leaves the parking lot at 9:30am down Anna Ruby Falls, Helena Georgia. Let’s have lunch-picnic( bring your own lunch) in the park while we share our life tip of the day, followed by the easy walking in Ruby Fall trail (0.8mile) while enjoying the spectacular natural beauty. The quiet coolness of the area is broken only by the thundering rush of water flowing over the rugged cliff face. If you are an ambitious hiker, you can challenge yourself with 4.6miles of Smith Creek Trail from the base of Anna Ruby Fallsto Unicoi State Park. After the hiking, we will dodge in the water for easy water float ($3 each for water tubing) on Chattahoochee River. Water park is $15 each. We then will visit most boasting town in the South-Helen town due to its Bavaria touch with unique setting surrounded by the mountain. After a busy day, we deserve a nice meal with good friendship and laugh on riverside restaurant if everyone prefers.
