Emory University Chinese Student & Scholar Union GO Tournament.

Hello GO/WEI QI players,

PLEASE FORWARD THIS INVITATION TO ANY GO PLAYERS THAT YOU KNOW - THIS IS AN OPEN TOURNAMENT INVITATION. ALL PLAYERS ARE WELCOME.

CHILDREN ARE WELCOME AND WILL HAVE A SEPARATE DIVISION.

The Atlanta GO Club in association with the Chinese GO Club is inviting you to the Emory University Chinese Student & Scholar Union GO Tournament.  

This is an AGA, American GO Association rated event.

DATE: Saturday, June 11, 2011. This is a ONE day tournament.

TIME: 9:30 AM Registration

PLACE: Emory University in the Dobbs University Center (Winship Ballroom 3rd Fl)

FEES: $15 entrance fee, $15 AGA promotional membership possible or $10 AGA one day fee if you are not currently a member. If you are currently an AGA member, then pay only the entrance fee.

NOTES:

Rounds of Play = 4               KOMI = 6.5                TIME – 1 hour per player

Four Sections / Divisions - High Dan, Dan, Kyu, Children            

High Dan will be an open bracket and games will be even or NO handicap.

Dan & Kyu divisions will have handicap games.

Prizes will be available for all divisions.

Round 1 - 10 AM to 12 PM

Round 2 – 12:30 AM to 02:30 PM

Round 3 - 3 PM to 5 PM

Round 4 – 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM

S PLEASE REGISTER EARLY (2 DAYS IN ADVANCE). REPLY BY EMAIL WITH NAME, RANK, & AGA NUMBER IF YOU HAVE ONE.         All fees to be paid in person on tournament day. Cash only.

S PLEASE BRING CORRECT FEE AMOUNTS – MAKING CHANGE CAN BE PROBLEMATIC.

S PLEASE BRING A CLOCK IF POSSIBLE. 

S PLEASE BRING BOARD & STONES IF POSSIBLE. Although we have 20 boards available, high attendance could be a problem.
