We are proud to announce the 2011 Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Book Cover Design Contest.
This is a wonderful opportunity for middle school and high school students to demonstrate their artistic design skills and chronicle the diverse customs of Asian Pacific American families in the US South as we recognize May as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
About the Contest: Submit a (1) Book Cover Jacket, (2) Artwork, (3) Copy about your experiences or memories of a favorite family custom, and (4) completed Contest Submission form. (See more details in the Contest Guidelines attachment: 2011APAHM_BookCoverContest.pdf)
Who’s Eligible?: Two categories: Students currently enrolled in 6th–8th grades and students in 9th–12th grades as of May 2011.
Deadline: Friday, May 6, 2011 by midnight. Entries received after May 6th will not be considered. Great prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place in each category on May 14, 2011 at the National Archives in Morrow, GA at the event. You must be in attendance at the event to receive your prize if chosen a winner. Book covers will be on display at the event and will be property of the APA Historical Society.
