CHEN STYLE TAI CHI (陈氏太极拳):
1) Lao Jia Yi Lu (Old Frame 1st Routine Review and Self-Defense Application)
2) Lao Jia Er Lu (Old Frame 2nd Routine Canon Fist Form)
We are pleased to announce the return of Grandmaster Chen Zheng Lei to Atlanta on November 6-7th, 2010. Grandmaster Chen Zheng Lei, 19th Generation of the Chen Family, 11th Generation Inheritor of Chen Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan), One of Top Ten Martial Masters of China.
Lao Jia Yi Lu, the first routine is the foundation form of Chen Tai Chi Chuan, the origin of all Tai Chi. The principles taught in Lao Jia lead to the development of the spiral rotation force called "Chan Su Jin" (Silk-Reeling Energy), which is the basis for acquiring "Fa Jin", explosive power. The Lao Jia Er Lu, the second routine, called “Canon Fist” is the advanced form to train explosive power!
This year is a special occasion honoring Grandmaster Chen's 5th straight visit to Atlanta. We will provide Certificates of Completion for those who attend the Workshop, and T-shirts will be available to commemorate this auspicious occasion!
Last year was the first time for many students to experience the second routine of Chen Tai Chi, 'Pao Chui', or 'Canon Fist'. During the weekend of November 6-7th, Grandmaster Chen will review and complete the second routine, 'Canon Fist', as well as refine the first routine 'Lao Jia'. He will then begin to teach applications of these fundamental routines!
This year there will be a special seminar for new students who would like to begin learning the first routine of Chen Tai Chi, Silk-Reeling and Qigong in Chen Tai Chi on Friday, November 5th.
We will also continue our annual Friday evening Push Hands/Advanced Training class this year on November 5th.
