Festival: Atlanta Steampunk Festival centers around a genre of literature and speculation which sees the world through a Victorian aesthetic and has a deep appreciation of the evolution of technology imagined by such authors as H.G. Music: Rap and R&B share the stage at radio station Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash 15. 6 p.m. at Philips Arena, Atlanta.
Festival: Red Stripe MidSummer Music Festival is headlined by the Wailers and Better Than Ezra (and, of course, Red Stripe beer). The music at the free fest begins at noon in Candler Park, Atlanta.
For grown-ups: “The Future of Tomorrow” is Blast-Off Burlesque’s science fiction-inspired burlesque and vaudeville show. 7:30 and 10 p.m. at 7 Stages Theater in Little Five Points, Atlanta.
Music: Smooth, R&B-tinged jazz fills the air at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre as Gerald Albright and friends take the stage. 6 p.m. at the Mableton outdoor stage.
