A "portal" for Chinese companies looking to establish a foothold in the U.S. and Latin America will soon open in Atlanta, Jorge Fernandez, vice president of economic development for the Metro Atlanta Chamber, told GlobalAtlanta.
Beijing-based Chinamex, which helps other Chinese firms expand overseas, will hold a ribbon-cutting for a new Western Hemisphere headquarters and showroom at Atlantic Station on Dec. 14.
The 14,000-square-foot space on the ground floor of the 201 17th St. building will exhibit products and information about companies from Hubei, a central Chinese province of about 60 million people. The goal is to find partners while learning how to do business in the U.S.
