The Youth Ensemble of Atlanta to Tour China
Atlanta, GA – The Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (YEA) is off to China on Dec 29, 2009 to take part in a business and cultural exchange program organized by Arcom Group, Inc.
(USA) and Hangzhou Arcom Business Consulting Company (China). This is a continuation in a series of business and cultural exchange programs, organized by Arcom Group, Inc., between Atlanta and Georgia businesses and cultural groups with their respective counterparts in China. These cultural tours intend to promote cultural understanding as a means of improving business relationships. The Youth Ensemble of Atlanta serves metro-Atlanta youth from all walks of life. This is a rare opportunity for these talented Atlanta young people. Founded in 1990, YEA has been providing young people with free performing arts training, as well as the opportunity to create original issue-oriented musical dramas that tackle the challenges they face in the world around them. These productions have been performed for more than a million people on three continents representing the city of Atlanta with distinction and honors in major festivals in South Africa, Belgium and Holland. Most recently YEA was honored at the White House with the Coming Up Taller Award for youth arts education programming from the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. These 40 young cultural ambassadors from Atlanta will be performing in the following cities in Zhejiang province:
Zhoushan - December 31st
Xiaoshan - January 2nd
Hangzhou – January 4th
Ningbo - January 5th
Return to Atlanta – January 6 th
This tour begins yet another chapter for Arcom Group, Inc. in this never ending story of international engagement which will not only include a continuing relationship with YEA, but also exchanges with serious investors from state owned organizations, agricultural enterprises, international trade organizations, educational institutions, hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, banking and many more small and medium sized enterprises. This cultural and business exchange book will promote Atlanta and Georgia, while encouraging economic growth in the region.
