GCIV Global Lunch Forums are a great way for busy professionals to interact with fascinating international visitors coming to Atlanta. The speakers are participants in U.S. Department of State exchange programs. Over lunch, the visitors will tell you about their work in their respective countries, and you will have an opportunity to engage in open discussion with people who are leaders in their fields from around the world.
At this lunch forum we will host Aminah Abotalaf from Kuwait and Maisa Hakimi from Yemen. Both Maisa and Aminah are participating in the U.S. State Department Middle East Partnership Initiative, which assists efforts to expand political participation, strengthen civil society and the rule of law, empower women and youth, create educational opportunities, and foster economic reform throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
Our featured speakers are partaking in the MEPI Legal and Business Fellowship Program. After completing an executive education program at the Wharton School of Business in May, they came to Atlanta to work at Coca-Cola Company and Southern Company. Please come prepared to engage in discussion with our guests about women's expanding role in business in the Middle East, as well as Kuwait and Yemen generally.
