Over 800 participants from Atlanta ’s Asian communities will be on hand to share their heritage. Exhibitors and Vendors will demonstrate their traditional
arts and crafts, including painting, calligraphy, origami, woodwork, textiles, pottery, and exotic food. Presenters will explain the many Asian ceremonies, games,
and martial arts. The two-day festival culminates with an exciting Performance Celebration, which features various musicians and dancers in the beautiful setting
of the Atlanta Botanical Garden . We welcome Exhibitors and Vendors to participate and celebrate this annual event.
Public Opening Hours:
Saturday: from 9:00am until 7:00pm. Sunday: from 9:00am until 6:00pm.
General admission: $12 for adults, $9 for seniors and children (3-17), children under 3 is free.
General parking: Parking is FREE.
There are six venues for which you may apply. Please indicate the country (China/Taiwan) which you want to represent.
Then communicate with me by email (s_sham@comcast.net) for application forms (Starting from 2-15-09) for the venue in which
you wish to participate. More than one venue is acceptable.
1. Performances: 2 high quality performances (with screening) per country (5 min. each) on Saturday evening only
2. Demonstrations: Helping to involve the general pubic with awareness of crafts
3. Presentation: A twenty (20) minute presentation of a cultural expression (High Quality)
4. Arts & Crafts Vendors: Must be hand made. NO manufactured items
5. Food Vendors (Community /Commercial) : Indigenous foods and drinks
A business license or food permit and Insurance are required. (May not sell Hotdog, Popcorn, Water and Soda. Asian soft drinks are allowed to sell.)
6. Volunteer – various tasks: Assisting to have the event operate smoothly
GENERAL INSTRUCTION
After receipt of your completed application form with non-refundable check made payable to TAWC USA for ACE,
we will mail the participant information packet by the end of June that include a map indicating the position of your location in the Gwinnett Center ,
parking information, drop off schedule and an Entry Pass.
Below is a brief explanation for the vendor application requirements:
Arts & Crafts Vendor
It is the ACE committee's decision that all things for sale should be ethnic/cultural items (for China/Taiwan).
The following are some examples, although, you are not limited to only these products. Examples of products that
would qualify as ethnic/cultural Chinese paintings, calligraphy, Bonsai plants, silk knots, dough figures, Chinese handmade
outfits or water pearl , jade accessory etc...
I cannot guarantee that all vendors will comply with our handmade merchandise requirement rule yet, it is the ACE committee
intention that they do. When ACE verifies that a vendor is not in compliance, then that vendor will not be permitted to participate
as a craft vendor at any of ACE future festivals.
Please submit the application not later than May 23rd , 2009 to your Team Captain..
