GCIV Global Lunch Forums are a great way for busy professionals to interact with fascinating international visitors coming to
Atlanta. The speakers are participants in U.S.
Department of State exchange programs. Over lunch, the visitors will tell you about their work in their respective countries, and you will have an opportunity to engage in open discussion with people who are leaders in their fields from around the world.
At this lunch forum we will host representatives from Caijing (财经?)Magazine, Fudan University, Renmin University, and the Chinese government.
Our featured speakers are working to increase the accessibility of public information. While participating in the U.S. State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program, they will discuss opening government records,
freedom of the press, journalism education, and citizen advocacy with colleagues in Atlanta. Please come prepared to engage in discussion with our guests about their work in their home country of China.
This lunch forum is free and will be a brown bag lunch, so you can bring your own lunch or ask GCIV to order a boxed lunch for you in advance.
