NACA Celebrates 30 Years of US-China Relations
On Nov 10th, 2008, starting at 6:30pm
U.S.-China Relations Continuity through Seven Administrations. U.S.-China relations have progressed steadily since President Nixon made his breakthrough visit to China in February 1972 and diplomatic relations normalized in January 1979. For seven consecutive U.S. administrations, U.S. policy has been to encourage China's opening and integration into the global system. China has moved from being a relatively isolated and poor country to a key participant in international organizations and a major trading nation. Evidence of China's opening to the west and rapid development couldn't be more obvious than their hosting of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing!
The National Association of Chinese Americans (NACA) will be hosting a 30 Year Celebration of normalized US-China relations featuring the Chinese Ambassador to the United States; the Honorable Mr. Zhou Wenzhong joined by other China and U.S. dignitaries. NACA would be honored by your presence as we celebrate this significant time in history.
Please Save the Date! NACA will be hosting a Semi-Formal banquet on Monday, November 10, 2008 starting at 6:00 p.m., so Please save the date on your calendars so you join us! The evening will include a cocktail reception, dinner, and a full program. More information will follow shortly. We look forward to seeing you.
