为庆祝北京奥运会的顺利召开，亚特兰大中华专业人士协会（ACP) 联合中国日报于本周四（8月7日) 下午4时半至7时半在亚特兰大世贸中心举办鸡尾酒会。除了介绍北京奥运之外，主办方将和本地中英文媒体合作重点介绍乔治亚州出生、长大或现居住于乔治亚州的18位参加北京奥运的选手。中国日报英文版准备在奥运比赛期间每日作美国奥运选手的专题报道。

The Association of Chinese Professionals in Atlanta (ACP) and China Daily are going to host a reception to celebrate the Opening of the Beijing Olympics and to introduce The Olympian and China Daily to the Georgia local press and the public.

The Olympian by China Daily is an official publication of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Since January 2007, it has been circulated as a weekly, but it will soon become a daily paper through the 2008 Olympics. There will be timely reports on the Olympic Games and on how China has been progressing and preparing itself to meet the challenge of hosting the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.

With many of The Olympian’s topics on U.S. Olympic athletes, of which 18 are from Georgia, China Daily sees a great opportunity to bring The Olympian into the U.S. market. The Olympian will also publish feature articles on specific sports and individual American Olympic athletes to target different regional markets as well as to draw more local attention and interest. China Daily, distributed nationwide and worldwide, is the most influential English language newspaper published in China. The President of China Daily North America Distribution will represent China Daily at this coming event
