北京2008年奥运会是属于全世界的体育盛会，北京奥运会将成为东西文化、世界多元文化交流的平台。奥运会不仅是体育赛事，也是世界各国共同参与的盛大节日。

为庆祝2008北京奥运会，亚特兰大地区华人团体（东方广场，亚洲文化艺术中心，中国统一促进会，IT协会，写作协会，现代中文学校，湖南同乡会，川渝同乡会，中山大学校友会，曹英舞蹈学校，东方之声艺术团，中国商会，东北同乡会，湖北同乡会，浙江同乡会等）将于8月9日星期六在东方广场举办Happy Olympics 2008（欢乐奥运2008）
盛大游园庆祝活动。届时各个社团成员与美东南各地华人同胞以及各族裔朋友参加这一盛大庆典。

庆典活动将与当天下午2点揭开帷幕。会场布置有关奥运的宣传品，配有各赞助商的百面条幅悬挂在高空的气球下，商业展销摊位布满四周，锣鼓队临街敲打助阵，秧歌队随着音乐起舞，舞龙舞狮满场游弋，大屏幕上滚动播放头天晚上的北京奥运开幕式的实况录像，广场中央的表演舞台上中国音乐舞蹈为主并有其他表演艺术将美不胜收，另外还有丰富的，老少皆宜的游园活动。奥运体育竞猜，卡拉OK比赛，少儿游戏竞赛，灯谜大赛，棋牌等等。这将展示华人侨胞对中国北京举办奥运的祝福欢庆，也是盛况空前的游园活动。并将邀请当地政界要员出席演讲，各美中新闻媒体现场采访报道。

游园庆典活动免费对外开放，免费停车，将有数千的观众和游人参加。

每个摊位包括6英尺展桌一张和两把椅子，预订价格为$88。摊位申请截止日为8月7日，先注册先安排，额满为止。

所有赞助商将得到一个免费摊位的机会和一件奥林匹克汗衫，并将在活动一周前的中文报纸上和网站上刊登赞助名单。赞助办法为：

金牌（$2000以上）：
在广场上空的4支悬浮气球挂有赞助机构名称的条幅，赞助名称印在节目单的金牌名单上，演出期间主持人宣布4次赞助机构名称和2分钟自我演讲机会。

银牌（$1000-$1999):
在广场上空的2支悬浮气球挂有赞助机构名称的条幅，赞助名称印在节目单的银牌名单上，演出期间主持人宣布2次赞助机构名称和2分钟自我演讲机会。

铜牌（$500-$999:）
在广场上空的1支悬浮气球挂有赞助机构名称的条幅，赞助名称印在节目单的铜牌名单上，演出期间主持人宣布1次赞助机构名称。

Happy Olympics 2008

The slogan “One world, one dream” gives expression to Olympic spirit
and hope. Regardless of difference in race, skin-color, culture and language,
we all share joy and happiness brought to us by the Olympics. Olympic
Games are not only an athletic event, but, more importantly, a multi-national festival.

On August 9, Atlanta Chinese community will have a Happy Olympic 2008
celebration gathering at Asian Galleria, Gwinnet Place Shopping Center.
The event will start at 2:00 pm. During the fun-filled event, participants
will find the latest information about Beijing Olympics, watch Olympic
Opening ceremonies video, enjoy local Chinese American’ music, dancing,
Kong Fu performances, and participate Karaoke contest. There will also be lots
of fun games, Chinese lantern-riddles, and Olympic athletic competition
activities. Crowd means business; local Chinese business owners are welcome
to take the opportunity to show your products and introduce your services.
Local celebrities will join us and give speeches. The event will be covered
by the local press. No admission fee for the event and parking is free.

Asian Galleria is located on Pleasant Hill Rd. at Satellite Blvd., right at
the heart of the most prosperous commercial area in Gwinnet County.
